Why this type of font was not made by the world's largest typographic houses.
There are several reasons for that.

For me personally, who have been in engraving all my life, it's not terrible that they don't know this, it's terrible that they think there is nothing there that they need to know.
The second reason why such fonts were not made is that designers cannot "express themselves" here, that's why they don't want to do this.
Some other legalities rule here. There are technical conditions that must be respectedin making this type of font. A typographical house that would work with this font would have to have a coordinator-supervisor, with extensive experience in engraving with CNC and engraving machines and lasers. They don't want to complicate their lives. Even the powerful AutoCAD saw that this was extremely difficult work, so he gave up on it a long time ago, enabled the program write with True Type fonts, so let the typographers do it.
Thus, engraving fonts and CNC machines were forced to be made by the manufacturers of these machines. Of course, we also reviewed all these catalogs. These producers made it with little invested money, so it looks like that.
