Why did it take 35 years to make this font.
At the beginning of work in 1988, there was no Unicode and no Internet. We ordered catalogs from the biggest printing houses around the world at that time, then photocopied and enlarged them. There was then more time to review everything that had been done in the world.
Later, with the arrival of the Internet and the Unicode standard, everything became easier, but also much more extensive. We observed each letter-script as a separate unit within the font, and every better idea we saw in a new font we used if it was appropriate, but we drew everything ourselves. Every script-language got a new relapse.
For example: Now in Orach Technic Pro 6.254 Greek is 34 versions in the end it looks quite simple. What is the problem, the majority of the technical profession would say. If only we would do a review all Technical and Engraving Greek fonts, which is very important to the whole world, our effort would be seen, but it was not sporty. In the beginning, as reference Greek fonts, they had the fonts of Greek typographers, considering that they knew it best. Later, looking at the graphic solutions of some of the world's best designers, we changed our opinion. Eight billion people know more and better than 8 million Greeks, I mean, of course, the design of the letters.
Why is Greek so important?
Greek letters created 3,000 years ago. It is the oldest alphabet that is in continuous use to this day.Greek letters are used as symbols in mathematics, physics, chemistry, technology and other fieldsof human life. Alpha and Omega, as the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet are symbols of comprehensive knowledge, the entire being, the entire space and time.
Thus, we do not consider the Greek letters with their 34 version as a definitive solution, but only as the last version.
