What is the advantage of Orach Technic Pro compared to a single-line font.
In our InfoForm engraving workshop, we have had this fonts for more than 30 years as a One-line and Two-line font. Two line as Orach Technic Pro - Thin (ProGRAV) .ttf font and One-line as Orach Technic Pro - OneLine in our .eff (engraving font format).
The double-line font is used more than the single-line font, maybe with 70-80%, especially in the last decade, when there are many more small jobs and various prototypes than larger series.
First of all Thin (ProGRAV) .ttf font can work-engrave on almost all operating systems, engraving programs and Engraving machines and lasers. Also works on all graphics, CAD and machine programs that use True Type fonts. It is certainly an immeasurable advantage over single-line fonts in any font format.
We engrave everything on the metal with a double line font. The text is engraved in the first pass and cleaned in the second pass. Secondly, everything that needs to be done in graphics and CAD programs is done with a two-line font because we engrave it directly as writen. This is a huge advantage for small amounts of the same plates and individual plates, because the time required for preparation is many times greater than the time for engraving.
Single-line fonts we use mainly for large quantities of tables on plastic and for simpler tables - inscriptions.
